NMC Validates Internships for Foreign Medical Graduates in India

New Delhi :The National Medical Commission (NMC) in India has announced that it will validate the internships of foreign medical graduates who took admission in approved colleges, hospitals, or institutes according to the old Medical Council of India (MCI) list before October 21, 2022.

This decision has been made in response to various requests and representations regarding internships completed by foreign medical graduates in approved institutions after the publication of the NMC's Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) Regulations in November 2021.

The validation of internships will be granted on a one-time basis and any internships started in non-teaching hospitals after October 21, 2022 will be considered invalid. This decision has been approved by the President of the Undergraduate Medical Education Board.
